4th graders, I want you to tell me about every detail of your field trip from yesterday. Tell me where you went, and what you did (IN ORDER.) Yesturday I saw were jesi jumped 15 feet and it was a long way down. We went on a hike and a scavenger hunt.It was awsome I realy mean awsome. we also went on a pontoon ride. but my favorite part was DQ.I rode with rily chase tyler and me! I had a sand witch for lunch. and it was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First when we got their we went on the playground and played. Then we I skipped rocks. After
we played for about 45min we went on a hike. We saw a whole bunch of different animals and rocks. After we were done hiking for 30min we went on a pontoon ride. The dood was really funny he taught us some things. Then after the pontoon ride we went to the pallasade part and ate lunch. I had a subsanwich, gattorade, a chocolate pie, chips, and yogos. After our lunch we found these stringy creatures there are two different kinds. After that we went to Dairy Queen. I had an large arctic rush about a foot high it was lemon lime. Thank you God for an ausome day.
At garretson there is a lot of Devil's stuff, like the Devil's Gulch, the Devil's Falls and the Devil's Kitchen. We rode a boat down the Split Rock River in Garretson and we had a really funny guy tour us. His name was Bruce. There are a lot of rocks by the river and by the Devil's Gulch. All the rocks are slanted to look like they're going to fall on you because the water has earth quakes.
We learned a lot on the pontoon ride. The only thing I remember is the cave. In one of the rocks there is a cave. To get to the cave you have to go up a very little hill. Than you have to take a right and you have to walk through the rock for a little while. than you are in the cave.
My group was Tannan Rue, Mason Buwalda, Logan Aukes, Tannan's mom, and Miss TeSlaa. I had a PB and J sandwhich, a fruit by the foot, two juice boxes, gusher, grapes. It was really cool to eat in God's creation. After lunch we were playing on the rocks that was by our luch area. Thank you God for an awsome day to have a field trip.
Yesterday we went to Garrason. We got a little behind schudule because their was a proplem with the pontoon boat we were going to ride in, so before the pontoon ride we went on a hike. My group viered off from the class. The hike was only about a half hour. Then we went on the pontoon ride. The pontoon ride was really fun my
favorit part on the pontoon ride was when the tour guide thought he called him fat. Then he said,"That he had abes of steal." Then at the end of the pontoon ride I ask him, but," What's under the abbes of steal he ansered more steal, so I was like ,"suuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrre." On the pontoon ride we saw caves, nests, and cliffs. Connor,Seth,Brandon, and Nick were in my group. For lunch I had a Nacho lunchable. After I finished lunch I played on the smooth rock. Isn't it a wonderful creation God has given us, so I thank God for this wanderful wourld.
When we went to Garretson I had an awsome time we first went on the hike. We saw where Jesse James jumped over the gulch. It's along ways. After the hike we went to the pontoon ride. Our tour guides name was Bruce, he was funny. One time he asked Riley a question so fast that nobody understood him. After the pontoon ride we went to the Palisades and had lunch. I had a sandwich,gatorade,pringles,and a crunch bar. It was awsome to eat in God's beautiful nature. After lunch we played and founded an animal. We called it the stringer. There are 2 types of stringers. The blonde stringer and the brown strigner. It was an awsome day.
When we got there we looked at the falls and played on the playground. The falls were so cool. The water at the top was perfectly calm then it would fall with a crash. The playground had a swingy thing where you hang on to a handle and swing. It also had 2 regular swings,1 baby swing that Zee got stuck in, and a hugh swing. Then we went on a hike. We got lost, but soon found other people to guide us. Then we went on a pontoon ride. I learned a lot of new things such as: "minne" neans water. An example of that is Minnesota. Another is that Frank and Jesse James were in a robery gang with Cole, Bob, and John Younger. Then we went to the palasades to eat lunch. It was so cool! Then we went to Dairy Queen. Sawyer, Spencer, Sam, Kelci, and I were all in a group. I ate a sandwitch, an apple, and applesause without a spoon. It was so cool to eat in God's beautiful nature.
Yesterday I went on a field trip to Gerretson with my class and we had to wait for an our to get on our pontoon ride but when we where ready toget on another class had doubble booked us so we took the hike first for about an hour. While we where on the hike we just about got lost because we almost went the wrong way.When we started to head back we saw a turtle.We got on the pontoon ride eventualy we set sale.our drver named BRUCEwas funny he told us to stand up and answer his queastoions.

I went 1st of all we were going to go on the pontooon ride so we wated at the park untill we could go but then the guy on pontoon said there was still another group befor us, So we went on the hike and we fond a purple flower and a loose rock and 3 sounds of a bird. Then we saw the bridge were Jessie james jumped over to escape from the Police and he got away.We actually got to go over the bridge it was a lot of fun and then after the hike we went back to the place were you go on the pontoon ride and we finale got on it but was still fun to wate becouse the guy who took us on the pontoon ride was really funny and told us a lot of funny things.After the pontoon ride we ate lunch I had a penut butter and jelly sandwich and some chexmix and fruit snacks and mandrin orenges.The people in my group was Zee,Mattea,MaKayla,Delyne,and Molly,And me Eliza. And afer lunch we climbed the palasades rocks and afer that we got in the car and Went to D,Q and some icecream.I got a cookiedo blyzard.And now I want to thank God for such a fun and sweet day.I also have to say this was the best feild tripp I have ever done at my school Loved it.I also thought it was so cool to eat outside in Gods wanderful creation.

Go Jesse James yesturday we went to where Jesse James jumped the gultch it was amazing.First we got into are drivers cars and I was in Hogan's car with Riley,Tyler,Nathan and I we had fun in the car.Once we got to Garretson we ran and saw the Falls they weren't as cool as are Falls but they were still cool.Then we went to the park and played tag when I wasn't it I would go in a really curvy slide and i would just hang out in there.Then we went to the pontoon and they scheduled to classes at the same time so we had to wait so then we went hicking there was this trail that we went down and there was tunes of rocks then we went down to this iland but it was still on the other parts of it and all you had to do is look up and you will see where Jesse James jumped there is a bridge know so we didn't have to jump over it.It took me like 40 steps to get across.Then we went on the pontoon ride and I was starving but the funny dued on the boat made me to get rid of my starvingness out.Then when we got off the boat we went to the palisades to eat I had a sandwich and chips yum.Then when i was done eating I played on the rocks with Josh and Lee then we went to find comfrtable and the best rock and biggest rock.Go Jesse James!

Then we ate our lunch at the cassades i had ham and chees crackers and a ham & chees bun and poweraid We climbed rocks and i sat on something like a cactus. Then we were on the way to dairy queen i rode with Dejay, Spencer, Lashea, Samantha and Kelci I got a waffel cone it was the best day EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVEEEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!
We went to The Palisads in Garretson yesterday it was really fun! First we played on the park, then we went for a hike and we saw the Devil's Falls, The Devil's kitchen, and the Devil's Gulch.
When we were on the pontoon ride Bruis told us about the Dakota indians and split rock river.
My mom, Josh, Nicholas, Seth, and Brandon were all in my group.
I ate a sandwich and yogurt for lunch, it was really cool eating by the river.
We went to DQ after we ate and then we went home.

Then we went on th pontoon ride and saw birds then we saw a place where people dived and got caught diving where they were not sopose to. Then we saw a cow. Next we saw the place where Jessie James hid and got caught. then we saw the cow agian and how it oncce got saved from drounding. Then we learned that when indians fought with spears that you couldnt take out of you when the indians fought. The people in my group were Josh,seth,Brandon,conor and I. It was fun eat in Gods creation and we explored. GOD thank you for food,clothing and shlter.
Fist we went to the pontune ride but the schule got messed up so we had to go on the hike first so when we were on the hike I accidentily lost my group but after 5 minites I found them again and we went by the water. Then we went back up and went to were Jessie James jumped over the gulch. Then we go back in the cars and drove to the pontune ride and got on and rode away and the man talked about where some animals live and about other things like that a speire has one long spike on each side so you can't take it out when the speire goes into your body. I had Connor, Nickolas, Joshau, And Brandon. I had a sandwitch, apple, juice box, and a brownie. It was cool to see people on the other side climbing the rock ledge. Then we went to Dairy Queen.
Yesterday we went to Garretsonand it was totaly awsome.The first thing we did was we went to the park and played for a wile and then we were sopasto go on the pontoon ride but it got delayed so then we went hiking.When we went hiking we saw the Devils Falls and it was awsome/beutiful and then we went to the Devils kitchen wich it was rocks that went all the way down to the bottom of the gulch and it was really deap and the Indians yous to crall down thre to cook because there was no wind down there and last but not least we saw the Devils Gulch weir Jeisse James jumped and it was so cool and how scary and deap it was and it was really scary that how deap it was and the bridge didnt look safe and I couldnt believe he jumped that far it was amazing=)Then after we finished hiking we went on a pontoon ride and it was so awsome.After the pontoon ride we went to eat lunch and we found these things that were like a stem on a dandiolion but it moved it was weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then we went to Dairy Queen and I got a medeum sized blizzard with cookie doe and it was awsome and i finished it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went on my field trip to Garretson on a pontoon ride, and a hike.Frist, we went on a hike to see cool things. Then,we see cool waterfalls when we where on the hike. Third thing we did went up and down hills. Last thin we did went back though where we went and we see saw the place where Jesse James and his horse jump to get a where from the polceman.
Frist, I saw on the pontoon ride where the pontoon driver jump off a tall hill when he was a boy.Then, we saw on ride the twins capon top of a hill. Late thing we saw is the nice. The hike we went on was kind of a scavanger hunt to see what stuff we could find and also hear the birds or ather animals we could also hear like ducks ect. and we had to find are way threw the path and end up where Jesse James and his horse juped the gulch when he robed a bank and took some money and after he juped the gulch the pioles ofisers found him some where else. When we went on the ponntoon ride Bruse ( our driver) should us a lot where Jesse James hid out for a while. In are group we had Zee Miller, Eliza Vaneson, Mattea Van Kalsbeak, Molly Tinklenberg, and Mikala Williomes.
We went to Garason, South Dakota. The first thing we did bis play at the park and then we went hiking and then we went on the ponntoon ride and then we ate lunch and then we went to Grill and Chill DQ and hade some stuff from Dary Queen and then we went back to school. The facts from the ponntoon ride that he told us about is where the Lakota Indians settled and what river we were on when we how the women made stuff. Zee, Mattea, Molly, Eliza, Mkala they were all in my group. On the tour we saw a lot of things we saw some flowers and we heard a lot of birds. What I had for lunch was a peanet butter sandwich, hrvest cheader sun chips, an oreo cookie, and a marshmellow supream. It was cool to eat in God's creation because you see how wanderful stuff God made. After lunch I went to go on the rocks and see more.

When we got to Garretson, we played at the park for a while.... at least it was supose to be! We were supose to be on the pontoon a half an hour after we got there, but barbed wire was caught on the motor! So the Mrs. Engbers class couldn't go on first. Then the motor stopped working when they took the barbed wire off so they had to do their turn last of all classes that came here. We were playing in the park for probobly 2 hours!!!!!
After the long wait we had to go hiking first because they were behind schedule. I was afraid we were lost because we were with a lot of groups and we couldn't find our way out! Then we were hungry but we had to wait until we were done with the pontoon ride! It was about 12:30 already! We were so so so so hungry.

Yesterday we went to Garretson for an all day feild trip. First of all, my driver was Zee's dad and my group was Zee, DeLynne, Mikayla, Eliza, Mattea, and I. When we got there we got to play on the playground and I played on the swings and went down the bumpy slides. We saw the waterfalls in the river and we sat on a bench and enjoyed the view. We were supposed to be on the pontoon a couple of minutes after we got there but they were running late. While we were waiting we were sskipping rocks(well I was TRYING to skip rocks)and we were dropping things on the water on the bridge and waiting for it to float to the other side. Like we were dropping stick on one side of a bridge, it would float through the tunnel and we would see it in the other side. As you can see by that, we were really bored. We were running behind so we had to do the hike before the pontoon ride. We had to choose different paths and sometimes we didn't know which one to follow. So we saw so many cool things like I saw a cute little chipmunk thing. I heard a lot of birds. One of the first cool thing I saw was Devil's kitchen. It has a bridge and right by it is steep rocks and it goes WAY down low in the rocks. So it was like a kitchen to the indians. We had to go up and down hills and we had climb around on rocks and it was tiring, but it was still good excercise. At the end of the hike was Devil's Gulch. It is a gulch the Jesse James jumped over when he was being chased by the cops. There is now a bridge and it was kind of spooky looking down. After the hike I was getting a little hungry, but we had to go on the pontoon first. On the pontoon the tour guide-Bruce-was hilarious. He got Mason to call him fat...as a joke. He said our class was sharp...as in smart.After the pontoon ride we had lunch. For lunch I had a sandwich woth turkey, lettuce, and mayo, an M&M yogurt, an 100 Calorie Pack of Oreos, a banana, and water. We ate by the river on some rocks. Some of the rocks were so smooth I almost slipped in the water once. There were little tiny cactus that some people sat on them some people got them stuck to their finger and they were kind of annoying. We found these little worm things that were as thin as hair, I'm not joking. They were in the water and at first we thought it was just hair. We saw it moving and then we thought it was the water current that made it move. Then we put it on a stick and it was moving. We called them stringers. After I played around in the rocks I started doing cartwheels down the hill. After that we went to Dairy Queen. I got an M&M blizzard. It was really good. So that was my Garretson feild trip and I thank God SO much for such and amazing day. I couldn't have asked for a better day!
Yesterday my class and I went to Garretson, South Dakota.It was a blast!When we got there we skipped rocks and tried to fish but we failed to catch any good fish.We were using things that we found laying around.We were fishing over a bridge.It was really fun to try and fish.Then Spencer and a couple of others came over and helped us try to fish.Tannen found a worm and he tried it but it broke in half after a little while.While we were on land waiting to go on the pontoon ride the pontoon's propellar snagged some barb wire.Then we waited a while longer then when we were about to get on another class got on before us.So we decided to go on the hike instead of waiting for the pontoon.We found some really cool things while we were on the hike.We got lost one time so we had to turn back and find another path.When we were walking on the trail we noticed weird things and saw a couple of animal tracks!After we were done hiking we went on the pontoon ride.Bruce the tourguide told our class a lot of interesting facts about Devils gulch and how Jessie James jumped over the gulchy being chased by a posse after he robbed a bank in Garretson.Bruce also told us about where Jessie James cave was,and about his family, and about certain kinds of cool rocks.Riley,Chase,and nathan were in my group.I saw birds nests and trees hanging from rocks.I ate pizza and a sandwich with chips and gummies and a bunch of other things.It was so cool and fun to eat in God's nature instead of eating in the cafeteria that we eat in almost every day.After lunch Sawyer discovered a really cool thing in the water he named it the Stringer because it was skinny as string.I thank you God for a really nice day yesterday!
I went to Garrestson yesterday. The first thing we did was playing in the park. After that we hiked by the gulch. The gulch is famous for Jesse James' big jump. He was running from the police because he was a robber. He went all the way to Wisconsin, where he was captured. We went past Devil's Kitchen. The Native Americans crawled down to the bottom of it, and they cooked there because there was no wind. After the hike we went back to the park area, and we went on a pontoon ride. Bruce was funny, and he told us about some things, like cliff sparrows and rocks. He made us laugh.
We ate our lunch by the rocks, and we had much fun eating there. It was such a beautiful day, and when we were done we played on the rocks. Later we picked up our garbage and went to a Dairy Queen. By then it was time to go back to school. I had so much fun!

When we thought it was our turn to go on the pontoon the other class went on. So we decieded to go on our hike first. So we got in our cars to drive another 2 blocks to get to Devils Gultch. At the Gultch we hiked for awhile. While we were on the hike we saw the Devils kitchen, and went over this creepy bridge that was an aptical alician because half of the river was iow and the other half was high, and it looked likethe water was flowing upwards.
