We have been talking about David and Saul. We are noticing how Saul is becoming very jealous of David.
1. Write 2 reasons why Saul is jealous of David.
2. Then tell me specifically in 3 or more sentences what Saul was doing about his jealousy toward David.
3. Jonathan and David are really good friends, and Jonathan was going against his father to try and protect David. Write in complete sentences what it means to be a really good friend to someone!

Saul was jealous beacuse people came and said "David has killed 10,000's and Saul has killed 1,000's!" Saul was also jealopus because the LORD was with David and the LORD had left Saul.First, Saul was sitting in his royal throne. He had an evil spirit, and David was playing the harp. Saul threw a spear at him. David ecscaped. Then that happened once more; Saul had an evil spirit and David was playing the harp. Saul again threw a spear at David. Then, Saul said,"You can marry my daughter, Michal, if you bring me 100 Philistine foreskins." So David went and killed 200 and gave Saul the 100 hew had asked for. Saul thought,"Surely the Philistines will kill David! He is by many out-numbered!" Jonathan had a good relationship with David. I think that a good freind would always be there for you. Jonathan did lots of things for David and was always there for him. You also have to agree. If you don't, figure out a different plan. So, if I wanted to play checkers and my freind wanted to play Snakes and Ladders, I would compromise. We would take turns. You always have to be nice to your freind. Freinds DO get in fights sometimes. But when a freind makes fun of you or is jealous of you, you don't have to be jealous of them or make fun if them. You always have to be truthful. A good freind tells the truth. A good freind would never try to hurt you in any way. They would be a good freind if they were like that.
Saul was jealous of David because the people liked David beter than him.He also was jealous of David because God was with David.
Saul was not acting good twards the situation .He tried to kill David!He tried to pin David to the wall.To be a good friend you need to be trustworthy.Like Johnathan.

Saul was jealous because the viligers liked David more than Saul. They gave David credit for killing 10,000 and Saul only 1,000.
Saul was trying to kill David by first Throwing a spear at him. Then He said," you can marry my daughter but first you bring me 100 foreskins." Last he sent out men to spi on David while he was sleeping.
To be a really good friend you have to be honist,trustworthy,kind,loving,¬ be putting them down!!
Saul was jealous of David because David had killed ten thousands but Saul only killed thousands.Then the girls were like "David kiled more men then Saul" baseicly every one liked David better.
Saul was jealous of David so one night while David was playing the harp Saul was sitting and he had a spear in his hand he tried to pin David to the wall but he missed.The second time he did the same thing but he missed again.The third time Saul sent men to David's castle to try to kill him the next morning.But Michal David's wife let him out the window and then she put an idol in the bed and put some goat hair on it.

Then Saul tried to kill David by tring to pin David to the wall with his spear twice. He also sent his men to spy on him and kill him in bed but David had safley escaped out the window. I think a good friend would be someone who is always by your side. I think a good friend wouldn't lie to you but instead tell you the truth. They would also play with you.

David killed his ten thousnds and Saul killed thousands. the girls sang to David. The people thout that David was better than Saul. Saul said to David "kill a hundred Philahstiens and bring them to me." Saul thout that David whould get killed by the Philahstiens. When David came back he was still alive. Saul was so jealous he tould David to play the harp. Then Saul took a spare and therw it at David. Luckly David excaped. Jonathan believed David and at the super David will not be there. When Jonathan tould his father where David was Saul trid to kill Jonathan. A good friend alway will be there for you.

Saul was jealous of David becuse Saul killed 1,000 but David killed 10,000.Saul also was jealous of David becuse the people of Isreal gave David more respect than Saul.
Saul was so Jealous of David that he tryed to kill David! He tryed killing David by throwing a spear at him 2 times. He also tryed to send solgers over to his house to kill him evry time he got away.

Hey Anna great story! I really liked it. And yea Saul did only kill 1,000's and David killed 10,000's. Yea the LORD really did leave Saul. But God was always with David you were right.
