We studied the Christmas story in great depth this week! We read Luke's account of the story, and Matthew's account of the story! Please tell me what details each man included in their story.

In Matthew it talks about wisemen and what they brought to Bethlehem. It took them 2 years to get to baby Jesus. The wisemen sang a song on the way. King Heroed said that the wisemen had to tell him where he was so that he could worship HIM too. The wisemen brought gifts of gold, francincince, and mrrh. They had a dream that they could not tell King Hereod about this. So when they went back to their home town, they took a different way home. In Luke it tells about Mary and Joseph and how they were pleaged to be married.
God wants us for Christmas. HE does not want presents. He wants us to tell others about HIM.

Hi i am Eliza. I am going to tell you about what Mathew said about the Christmas story here it goes.He told about the angle coming to Joseph. He also told about the whole story of King Hearod. He told us the story of the Shepherds and when the angle apeared to them. Now I am going to tell you about what Luke said. He told us about Mary's whole song and what it ment to her. He also talked about the three Wisemen and they told what the three wisemen brout like the Mure the Frankinses and the Gold. He also talked about the Geneolage of JESUS. Luke talked about the angle coming to Mary. Luke talked about the shepherds. He talked about the song that Mary sang. He talked about Jesus birth. He talked about John the baptist's birth. He talked about the angle coming to the shepherds.
Mark talked about the geneolegy of Jesus. He talked about the angle coming to Joseph in a dream. He talked about the wise men. He talked about King Herod. He talked about the census that was taken. He talked about the dream the wise men had to not to go back to King Herod.
What God wants for Christmas is us. He wants us to be apart of his heavenly family.
In Matthew's side of the Christmas story he told the whole story about the wisemen. He also told about king Herod and how he wanted to kill Jesus. Matthew also talked about the angel coming to Joseph and telling him not to divorce Mary. In Luke's side of the story he told the story of the shepherds and how the angels came to the shepherds to tell the shepherds the good news. He also told that Elizebeth was going to have a baby at her old age. Luke also told that there was no room four them in the inn so Jesus had to be born in a stable(barn). Luke also talked about Gabriel coming to Mary and how he told her she was with child and that child was Jesus.
For Christmas God wants you and he wants you to worship him and give your life to him and to let him come into your life and your heart. God also wants you to try not to sin and he wants you to crush the devils head.

Matthew was a man who told the Bible story. Luke was a guy who fortold the story witch meand a long time a go he told it. he included stuff that Mattew And matthew included stuff that Luke did not include. Matthew included that Jesus was born Luke did not. Luke included that the Magis went to find jesus and took them 4 intire years! luke told that Jesus was born in a stable and that the magis the sheperds and everyone els. nly matthew included that Mary was visited by gabriel the angel and he said "do not be afraid for I bring some good news of great joy that will be 4 u. the bible story is incredible and eveyone should read it!!!
In Matthew's account we read the geneaology of Jesus.(Or the line of Jesus.) We learned that Matthew told of the wisemen that beared gifts to Jesus and in Luke it didn't tell us about the wisemen but Luke told us about the shepherds that were the first ones to locate Jesus. In Matthew it tells us about the wise men visiting King Herod and in Luke nothing is mentioned about the wisemen. In Luke we learned about the angel Gabriel coming to Mary to tell her that she would give birth to the Christ Child. In Matthew it talks about Joseph(Mary's husband) wanting to divorce her but the angel Gabriel comes to him in a dream and tells him not to divorce her. You have to read both the story Matthew tells and the story Luke tells to get the hole story.
What God wants for Christmas is something you might think is weird because God has everything, doesn't he? What God wants for Christmas is you. He wants you because your his creation. He wants you to give all your love and all your praise. That is what God wants for Christmas.
Mathew in his story told about Mary and how she saw a angle that said that she was going to have a son Jesus. He also mentioned 3 wisemen and how they had saw a star above Bethlehem and went to Bethlehem. Then he said that the wisemen went to a stable and found Jesus.
While Luke told about that Joseph saw an angle and it said that he shouldn't divorse Mary and that she was going to have a baby that is god. And that shepherds near by saw a angle to and it said to go to bethlehem and find manger that has mary and Joseph and Jesus in it. And thats the true meaning of Christmas!!!!!
But thats not all becuse god whants us for Christmas all you got to do is ask him in your heart.
In Luke it talks more about how Jesus was born in the stable. In Mattew he has the geneoligy of King
David. I like Luke better because
he includs more detail about Jesuses birth. Mattew did incld one thing Luke did'nt includ,and that was the angle coming to Mary and saying that she was going to have a baby. The angle said to Mary
",You will have a son and name him Jesus".
God wants us for Christmas. He wants us to be a human sacrifice. How can we be a human sacrifice? You can be a human sacrifice by being the Lord's servent.
Luke's story talked about Gabriel coming to Mary and telling her she was going to have a baby, Mary and Joseph being pledged to be married, baby Jesus being born in a stable with animals and hay surounding them, and the shepherds coming and worshiping Jesus.
Matthew's story talked about the geaneoligy of Jesus, Joseph wanting to devoirce Mary, the 3 Wisemen Coming and talking to king Herode and telling him about Jesus birth, King Herode telling them to tell him where Jesus was so he could worship to(not realy), the wisemen worshiping Jesus, and the dream the wisemen had that said not to tell king Herode where Jesus is.
All that God wants for Christmas is us. We can give ourselves to God by making the coices he wants us to.
It all starts when Ceaser Agustis ordered a census so that means Joseph and Mary had to go to Bethlehem to be couned. they had to stay in a stable becouse there was no room in the Inn. So they styed in the stable were Jesus are savior would be born. He was placed in a manger becouse there was no bed to sleep on. He was born in a stable becouse he was hated ever since he was born.
But in the fealds near by there were Shepheards takeing care of there flok. An Angle of the Lord appeared to them and they were tarefied but the angle said do not be afraed for I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people Jesus will be born in Bethlehem.

In Luke's version of the story he included the wisemen more then in Matthew's version of the story.And in Matthew's version it lists the line of david.Which means like the geneolagy of Jesus!In Matthew's version they talk alout about Joeseph going to divorce Mary quietly.And also in Lukes version of the story it talks about John the baptist being born.And in Matthews version it doesn't talk at all about John the baptist!

In Luke's account he included how the angel Gabrial came to visit Mary. We would have not known this if Luke did not tell us because in Matthew it says nothing about the angel Gabrial. Luke told us why Mary and Joseph needed to go to Bethlehem. He also explained where Jesus was born wich was in a barn. In Matthew they just say then Jesus was born. Also if Luke didn't michean that John the Baptist was not born we would not have known. In Matthew he talked about how Joseph wanted to devorce Mary quietly. Joseph wanted to devorce Mary because she was with child (with the holy spirit.)Before they had gotten married. Matthew also said that an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream telling him not to devorce Mary. They travled to Bethlehem to get registered. But there was no room for them in the inn. So Jesus was born in a barn.
What God wants for Christmas is to everyone to be kind to one another. And to give praise to God. And know the true meaniing of Christmas. wich is giving praise to Him and celebrating Jesus' birth. It is NOT just all about you or the presants you get. It's about Jesus and God.

Thogh he was going to kill him so an angel told them to take another route back home so ceaser couldnt find the baby an kill him so they lesstend to what the angel said.
God wants us for Christmas because he saved us from sin. He died on the cross for our sins to save us. He loves us so much that if I was the only sinner he would die on for my sins. Praise the Lord!
Matthew and Luke both talk about the Christmas story, but in different ways. For example, Matthew talks about an angel coming to Joseph and telling him not to divorce mary. In Luke it tells me about how an angel came to Mary and told her she was going to have the Christ child. In both stories an angel comes to someone. In Matthew, it talks about the wisemen and their long journey following the star. It is obvious that they both have the main subject on Jesus' birth.
I learned in school that God wants us for Christmas. He wants us to make good choices and tell other people about him.
We studied the Christmas story and we read about Lukes way and Matthews way.If you look at Matthews way and Lukes way Luke dosnt talk about the wise men but Matthew tells all about the wise men and matthew talks about the life line of Jesus(Genyolgy).Luke talks about the Shepherds but Matthew dosnt.But one thing that happens in both storys is that... oh I think I will tell you about that later.Matthew told us about King Hared and he said to the wise men "Where is this king that is born I want to worship him" but he was ling about that because he wanted to kill Jesus because King Hared wanted to be the only king.Ok I will tell you what they both have is that... I think I will say it later just kiding thay both have is baby Jesus being born!

Luke told how the host of angels came to the Shepherds and told them to go see the baby in Bethlehem. The books Luke and Matthew tell parts of the Christmas story together they tell the true christmas story. In Luke's part of the story it says that Mary was going to have a baby named Jesus. And it says they had to go to there own town to be rechsterd.

Today in the town of David a savior has been you will find him wrapped swaddling clothes and lieing in a manger. The shepherds went and found Mary and Joseph and the baby then the shepherds left them and told everybody.
Mathews account starts like this tha line of Jesus. Mary and Joseph were pledged to mary but since Mary was having a baby Joseph had a idea to devorce her quitly but after he consider this an angle appeard in a dream and said do not be afraid to take Mary has your wife because what is concieved in her is from the holy spirot. The next day they got married. Then they went to Bethlehem and Mary had a baby. There were wise men and when they saw the star they started toward the star that lead them to Bethlehem to see the newborn baby. When they got their Jesus was two years old they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they told everybody.

The book of Luke and the book of Matthew both tell the Christmas story. Luke talks about Gabriel, Caeser Augustus, the shepherds, the angels, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. Matthew talks about an angel, the wisemen, king Herod, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. The books are different even though they saw the same thing. For example Matthew included the wisemen, but Luke didn't. I like every part of the Christmas story because it's so fasinating.

The birth of Jesus being when Mary was a vingent. A angle come a to Mary, and said, " don't be afraid, Gob is with you.
