I am going to tell you some similarities and some differences about the book and the movie and what I liked and disliked about each. I liked the movie because it gives you a more visual picture of what's going on. I disliked the movie because it left out some important details from the book. I liked the book because it describes what’s happening better. I disliked the book because it didn’t tell you some of the things in the movie that happened.
Now I’m going to tell you five similarities and five differences between the book in the movie.
SIMILARITIES: Both the book and the movie Lucy meets the Faun, Edmund is tied to a tree, there is a great battle, Edmund asked the White Witch for Turkish Delight, and Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy meet the beavers.
DIFFERENCES: The movie has these differences; the children are running from the Mecready because they broke something not because she is giving a tour. Mr. and Mrs. Beaver don’t get presents in the movie they do get presents in the book. Aslan doesn’t tell Peter the battle plans before he dies in the book he does tell him before he dies. IN the Movie Edmund doesn’t break the Witch’s wand completely in the book he does. At the end of the movie Susan doesn’t say the lamp post is an iron tree in the book she does.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give the book a 10 and the movie a 9. I just thought that the book explained the scenes better. It gave more details in some places where the movie gave none. For the movie it gave you a better visual look at the story but didn’t include as many details as the book did. In some places though like the battle the movie gave a lot of details but in the book it only gave a few details about the battle.
I liked the movie because it was very intence. I liked the book because it came right from C.S. Lewis.I think the book and the movie are very different.
In the movie the kids play crikit. In the book they don't. In the book the professor thinks the land is true. Same as the movie. In the movie Tumnus gets arrested and the police leave a note. In the book they don't.
But in both books Tumnus is arrested. In the movie Tumnus is turned in jail with Ed. In the book tumnus isn't in jail. But in both book and movie tumnus is turned into stone. In both Ed goes to jail.Inthe movie there is an escape hole. In the book there is not one. In the movie there is a fire bird. There is not one in the book. But in both there are mice who chew on the rope.
I enjoyed the movie more because it was funny. And it gave you a better picture.The book was good to because I love the story about Narnia.
Similarities: No body believes that Lucy went in to Narna,Edmund is a lier,Edmund meets the witch,Lucy meets Mr.Tumnis,Thay all meet the beavers,Edmund betrays the others,He gos to the witch's casle,gets atacked by a wolf,Edmund dos not bring the others,thay save Edmund,Aslan dies and he rose again,Edmund tells the witch every thing he heard,Mr.Tumnis gets turned into stone,santa comes,spring is hear,thay get to Aslans camp,Aslan shows Peter Cair parevel,Peter kills a wolf,Aslan talks with the witch,thay have a war Aslan wins. Differences:The children break a window,thay did not follow a robn,The wolves find them before thay leave,thay meet a fox,there was no picnic,.I did not like the part when Aslan died. But I liked When he rose again.I did not like the part when Aslan died in the movie ether. I did liked the war.
I loved almost everything about the movie and the book called Narnia. I kind of disliked that they were so different, but it was okay. I liked the movie a little more than the book because I like that I can have a picture. I disliked the book because I just don’t have a picture that I can use to get a picture in my mind. Here are 5 differences and 5 similarities right now: In the movie it started with the bombing happening but in the book it didn’t, in the movie Lucy looses her coat when they were in the river but in the book she didn’t, in the movie the White Witch slaps Edmund but in the book she doesn’t, in the movie the White Witch turns a butterfly into stone but in the book she doesn’t, and they add an extra part on after the real movie, it was Lucy tried to open the wardrobe again but it doesn’t work in the movie. Here are some similarities: There are the same characters as in the book, Lucy went into Narnia first, they had a housekeeper named Mrs. MacReady, there was a White Witch, and they all got crowned at the end.
Like I said I enjoyed the movie better because it had pictures and it looked more realistic.
I liked the book because it tells some pretty good things in it and what I don't like about it is that it doesn't tell that much things than what the movie had. I liked the movie because it had a lot of cool things that the book did not have. One different thing was that it never had in the book that Lucy told on the other children because Edmund lied about being in Narnia. One similarity was that Edmund did lie about being in Narnia. Another difference is that in the book it never said that Edmund asked the Queen if Peter was going to be king instead of him. Another similarity was that they had to hide from the Migreedy. Another difference is that Mr. Beaver didn’t laugh when Edmund asked who Aslan was. Another similarity is that there’s a wardrobe in a spair bedroom.
Another difference is that in the book in never said that there were wolves who were coming after the children. Another similarity is that the Beaver gave Lucy back her handkerchief from Mr. Tumnus. Another difference is that in the book it never had Peter the one incharge of the army. Another difference is that the Queen had her frozen thing and she came killing people with it and turning them into stone.
I liked the movie more because it has a little more information than what the book had. I also liked it more because it explained more things than the book had it.
Some of the things that I liked and disliked are when the witch started to freez people thats one of the things I disliked.One thing I liked is when Aslan rose frome the dead and destroyed the Witch.
Here are some simularites and diferences.A few differences were when the witch was in the battle she didnt have polor bears but in the movie she did.In the book they follow the bird in the movie they see it but they don't follow it.In the book the beaver tells them to whisper in the woods in the movie it dosn't say anything about the beaver telling them to whisper in the woods.In the book Ed says,"Silly Aslan in the movie Ed keeps quiet.In the book there is not any eagles droping boulders in the movie there is.
Here are a few simularites.In the book and movie Ed draws on Aslans face.In bothe book and movie the ropes get chewed away by the rats.In both the wolves attack the beavers dam.Aslan breathes on the statues to un froz them.Ed always wants turkish delight.
I injoyed the movie a little bit better because you got to see it happen and there was a little bit more detaile so that is why I liked the movie a little bit better.

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
The book and the movie were both really good. One thing that I didn’t like in the movie is how the White Witch dressed. She didn’t look so good. One thing that I liked is how Peter struck the ice with his sword and they fell on the ice burg and floated to shore. Another thing that I liked is Mr. Beaver’s accent, it is so cool.
I am going to tell you five differences and five similarities between the book and the movie. In the movie when Edmund tried to run away from the dwarf the dwarf tackled him. And also in the movie the kids were playing cricket. And Edmund hit the ball and the cricket ball broke the window. And in the movie when Edmund was drawing on Aslan’s face he didn’t say anything like you are just a silly old lion. And the last difference that I am going to talk about is when the beavers and the children were trying to run away from Maugrim and the other wolves they went threw a secret tunnel. Now I am going to talk about some similarities. In the first part of the movie they did have air raids. Susan and Peter both doubted Lucy about being in the magical world. And Edmund lied about being in Narnia with Lucy. Mr. Tumnus was charged with treason. And the last similarity that I am going to talk about is that the kids stayed at the beaver’s dam.
Well I liked the movie better than the book because you could actually see what was happening in the movie. And there were real life characters. And I can’t wait until the new movie is out.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrode is a reaThe Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a really great book. We, as a class, just watched the movie, and let me tell you there are a lot of similarities and a lot of differences! For instance: (Here are some similarities.) The professor was very shaggy in the book and movie, there were air raids at the beginning, the fawn (Mr. Tumnus) was carrying parcels, the other children didn’t believe Lucy found a country called Narnia, and the White Witch got killed in the end. Wow, that’s a lot of similarities!
Now, let’s talk about the differences between the two. In the book the professor answered the door, compared to Mrs. Mcready answering the door in the movie. In the book they never said anything about crossing the river. I thought that they added that scene to make it more exitingWhen the other four were getting chased by the witch they slept in a tunnel all night before meeting Father Christmas. And last but not least the movie didn’t say a word about Giant Rummblbuffin.
I think that I enjoyed the movie because I liked what they added on to make it better. I think that I enjoyed the book because C.S. Lewis is a great author and a descriptive writer. So it all comes down to this. I don’t think I can decide if I like the book or the movie better! No, wait I know now! I like them both the very same!
Here are some of the similarities and differences. On the first day that they get there it rains so they play hide and seek. Peter starts counting and Lucy go into the wardrobe. A difference is that in the book they don’t play cricket. Instead of thinking that Mrs. McCready had a tour they though she was after them because Ed broke a window. When all the children were in Narnia they found the robin. In the book the beaver keeps telling them to be quiet. But in the movie he doesn’t. Aslan is killed on the Stone Table but, he rises from the dead in both. When Aslan rises from the dead and the two girls ride on his back to go to the witch’s castle the giant never breaks open the gate for them.
What I liked and disliked about the book. First I’ll tell you about what I liked. I though it was very exciting and I could get into it. Seeing the movie kind-of spoiled it but the book was still good. I really didn’t dislike anything about the book. It is pretty much the same for the movie I didn’t dislike anything about it either.
It was really fun to read the book because that is the original “thing.” It is cool to see how much the movie changed. But if I had to choose I would say the movie. The reason is because you can see what is happening and I like that because I can’t imagine a picture very well. That is why I like the movie better!!!

We just finished the movie, we already finished the book and now I will tell you whow there the same and whow there difrent.
The children had to leave because of the war and air raids. They also had to go to the Profecers house and thats where the adveture begane. When the children entered the wordrobe one of the first things they found out was that Mr. Tumnes's house was destroyed! Then they met the beavers who had a house that they went to. When they were there Edmund stayed for a litle while then he snuck away to the witch's house. All these things hapened in the book and movie!
But now here are some things that you didn't happen in the book bot not the movie or opusit. The book never said anything "About the childrens Dad in the army." Whrite when the children etered the wordrobe there was no snowball fight. When the children whent to the beavers the they didnt go fishing. When the girls raod to save the stone creaturs there was no Rumblebuffin dood. And the girls and everything else didn't rapage the house. None of this was the same in the movie and the Book.
I liked the movie the best because they had more about the war.
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
Sometimes we have similarities and differences in our lives. That is NOT what we are gong to talk about today. Gotcha!!!=) we are not talking about them in our lives, we are talking about them in Narnia the movie and the book. I have a feeling this is going to be lllllooooonnnngggggg entry. We should start. Well, in the book I noticed some small similarities and differences, and I will start with them.
But I have to tell you, first of all, that I didn't like the book in one way: It was too much on the short side. If I ever made
a book like the Christian Fantasy one we just read, I would make it as long as you body is wide. Maybe even extend it soo long I would have to make two books out of one story. Or even three out of one.
Okay small similarities were-and big- Mr. Tumnus, the faun, met Lucy several times in the book as well is in the movie. He is Lucy's best friend n earth!! The second similarity is that Lucy, when she goes into Narnia, then comes back out, she thinks she has been gone for hours, but really no time has passed. The third is that pretty soon all four children got in Narnia after Lucy had pouted about being right abut it several times. They met a Beaver, Mr. Beaver, who told them to follow him.
Then the fourth is that Edmund, when they are talking about Aslan, he leaves to go to the white witch�s house, because before he saw her and she was soooo nice, but when he gets there she is meaner than before, because she wants him to get the idea that she is nice. The fifth is that when Edmund goes to her house, he sees statues of all kinds and he draws a mustache on one. Then he goes to the throne, or heads over to where he thinks the throne is, and the suddenly, a wolf jumps out at him. In the movie you almost expect it like I did, but the FIRST time I saw the movie I was really surprised and jumped from the seat of the car that I was sitting in.
I will start with the differences. Number uno is that the kids were playing baseball and Peter pitched and then Edmund hit a fly ball into the window. That doesn't happen in the book, but that's probably because they want to extend the story to make it like real life. Like the problems that come up in life for instance and then you have to.... Okay number two is that when Lucy gets back from Narnia, Edmund says he believes her and then he says, "Didn't I tell you guys about the football field in the cupboard?" Then Peter says, "You just have to make everything worse, don't you?!"- And that doesn't happen in the book with the whole football field thing. Sure Ed teases Lucy, but no football field is mentioned.
Number three is that when all four of them get into Narnia, Edmund has a girl's coat in the movie and in the book they all just have plain coats that are heavy and what-not. Number four is that when Edmund does go to the witch's castle, he sits in her chair and that doesn't happen in the movie. Number five is that Maugrim, the chief of police who is a wolf, only has orders to get one other wolf in the book but in the movie, the witch tells him to get a bunch of other wolves and find the beavers and the children and try to kill them.
I liked the movie altogether better because it had more detail and was much longer than the end than the book was. The other thing I liked about the movie was, that in the book, the witch was much less demanding and more so calmer. I hope you can read both the book and watch the movie soon!!! I had a fun time and enjoyed reading and watching the movie. I also had fun today when I was blogging about the jots that I wrote down to make similarities and differences.
What I liked about the book is that it tells you stories from the Bible and if you like those books you can learn about more bible stories. What I also liked about the book is that It was the first book that I red out of the series until I started reading another book when we were in the middle of that book. What I disliked about the book is that I didn’t read the first one so I didn’t really know how and what the White Witch did.
/what I liked about the movie is that it was interesting and it was exiting. And what I also like about the book is that you can learn more about the story out of the Bible. What I didn’t like about the movie is that there are scary creatures and I didn’t like seeing Aslan die.
Five differences from the book to the movie are that
1. The book doesn’t talk about what happened in the air-raids.
2. They don’t play baseball in the book.
3. They don’t break a window in the book.
4. It doesn’t say that Edmund went back for a picture in the air-raids.
5. The don’t start throwing snowballs at each other when they enter Narnia.
Five similarities from the movie and book are that
1. Lucy finds the wardrobe.
2. Edmund lies about being in Narnia.
3. They all hide in the wardrobe.
4. Emund meets the White Witch.
5. Edmund eats Turkish delight.
I liked the movie better because you get to see what’s going on. I also like the movie better because it shows you what the White Witch and the characters look like.
After we read the book we watched the movie and we made a sheet of similarities and differences. Here are some. One similaritie is there was two wars one in the begining and one at the end. Another is that when Peter,Susan,Edmund,and Lucy meet the beavers Edmund exaps. Another is Edmund goes to the White Witch's house. Another is that the beavers and the others go and leave to find Edmund. Another is the witch's wolfs go after the others to bring them to her. Here are some differences. Before they entered Narnia they played crikit. Once they entered narnia they had a snow ball fight. There wasn't a robin. There was a fox. Mrs. Macgredy didn't have a tour when she came in.
